After immigrating from Vietnam, Andrew Ly and his family had a simple dream in America: to rebuild their lives and to create a better future for their children. In 1984, the five Ly brothers pooled their savings of $40K together and purchased a small coffee shop in San Francisco, California.

Sugar Bowl Bakery quickly became a local favorite and a destination for seekers of high-quality baked desserts. As a certified MBE, it is now one of the largest family-owned/operated bakeries in Northern California with national and international distribution.
